Comments: My grandfather came from Flat Rock in the late 1800's. I found this place in tracing my ancestory.and would love to visit someday and find more infromation about my roots. Reading the story of Flat Rock and of its people seems a great spirit of comunity exsist which is hard to find today.

Comments: I am delighted to report that I have been very lucky to find the birthday of my GGrandmother Margaret Mary Stamy who was born 23 Aug 1858. Her parents were Richard Stamp and Mary Fitzgerald who were married 2 Oct. 1856 at Holy Trinity Church, Torbay, NL. Information was reserched by Maureen at the Torbay Museum. Anyone knowing anything of the aforementioned, please contact me, I would love to hear from you. Thanks, Sarah
